Liverpool and Fenerbahce fans are the best in the world according to Lazar Markovic.

The 21-year-old happens to on loan at the Yellow Canaries from the Premier League giants so may be slightly biased but there is no denying that Liverpool fans and their ‘You’ll never walk along’ anthem is among the most iconic in the world. Fenerbahce fans also are among the most passionate in Turkey and perhaps Europe with a reported 15 million or more supporters.

Speaking to the Fenerbahce Magazine Makovic said: “Hearing ‘You’ll never walk alone’ sung at Anfield Road is indescribable and the non stop support shown by fans here actually moves you.

“In my opinion Fenerbahce and Fenerbahce fans are the best in the world.”

Fenerbahce have one of the best home records in the Super League and are the only team in Turkey that are unbeaten on their own ground this season – eight wins and two draws.

The Yellow Canaries only lost once at home over the last three seasons and are currently first in the league

Markovic struggled at Liverpool last season under the stewardship of Brendan Rodgers but has become a fan favourite in Turkey among the Fenerbahce faithful already scoring twice and providing three assists for his new side.
