Nuri Sahin delighted to be back at Anfield ahead of Liverpool clash

Borussia Dortmund star Nuri Sahin expressed his delight to be back at Anfield in the form of an Instagram post.

Sahin shared a picture with his followers from inside Anfield ahead of Dortmund’s clash against the Reds.

The Turkish international midfielder added the following caption: “Even it was a short time, it’s nice to be back at #anfield a special place in world football now focus on the game and the goal to reach the next round @liverpoolfc vs @bvb09 #uel #quarterfinals.”

Sahin is of course no stranger to Anfield having played there for six-months during his six-month loan to Liverpool from Real Madrid in 2012.

The deal sparked a lot of excitement but Sahin struggled to settle in and did not get on with Brendan Rodgers.

Sahin returned to Dortmund at the end of the season to be reunited with Jurgen Klopp who has since left the German giants for Liverpool.

The Reds boss was responsible for first unearthing Sahin and is reported to be a keen admirer of the Turkish international.

Liverpool go into the second left with a slight advantage having drawn the first game in Germany 1-1 but still have it all to do at Anfield.
