Chrisantus was close to joining Apoel on loan but were unable to meet Sivasspor’s loan fee.

The 24-year-old joined Sivasspor on a three-year deal last summer from Spanish second division side Las Palmas.

Despite being tipped as a future star of world football at the 2007 U-17 World Cup, Chrisantus has failed to live up to expectations.

The Nigerian international has struggled for playing time at Sivasspor after spending much of the season injured.

Fellow compatriot Micheal Eneramo’s return to Sivasspor has pushed Chrisantus further down the pecking order and due to the foreign player ruling he will find it difficult to get into the team.
