Kocaman praises Sivasspor following loss [divider]
Konyaspor manager Aykut Kocaman praised his opponents Sivasspor following their 1-0 loss at the Torku Konya Arena.
“Sivasspor have won eight out of their last 10 games this season, at the end of the day we were playing one of the most in form sides in the league,” Kocaman was quoted as saying by Eurosport.
The loss put an end to Konyaspor’s two match win streak but exposed their poor home form.
The Anatolian Eagles have lost four out of their last five games at the Torku Konya Arena.
Konyaspor take on relegation battlers Erciyesspor next week.
Sivasspor have won four out of their last six league games, drawn one and lost once under recently appointed manager Sergen Yalçın.
The inexperienced coach took over Sivasspor last December replacing former World Cup winner Roberto Carlos.
Yalçın has taken Sivasspor from the relegation zone into 10th place.
The Yiğidolar also recently beat Karabükspor 4-2 to secure a quarter-final place in the Turkish Cup.
Sivasspor take on relegation strugglers Karabükspor next week.
