West Ham United monitor Manchester United target Mert Günok

West Ham United have been linked with Fenerbahce’s goalkeeper Mert Günok.

According to the Turkish newspaper Fanatik, West Ham United have sent scouts to monitor Günok. The report goes onto say that the London based are willing to offer the 26-year-old keeper a contract.

Günok is free to enter direct talks with other clubs due to his contract set to run out at the end of the season.

The Turkish international is currently second choice keeper at Fenerbahçe behind Turkish international Volkan Demirel.

Günok was closely linked with a move to Manchester United in recent months by the Daily Star newspaper.

The 26-year-old has conceded 14 goals in 14 appearances for Fenerbahçe this season. The 25-year-old has also kept a total of four clean sheets in all competitions.
